Georgia Vendra did her PhD and a short postdoc at the Wellcome Trust Center for Cell Biology, University of Edinburgh. There she worked on dynein-driven transport of RNA cargoes in fly embryos and oocytes (Vendra et al., 2007). In 2007, she joined the Kiebler lab at the CBR, where she is investigating RNA localization in mammalian hippocampal neurons. Since June 2008, she is working as a staff scientist in The Department of Neuronal Cell Biology.
